Delegate Smigiel, live tweeted some of the events from today’s visit to the Eastern Shore Caucus by Secretary Hall on PlanMd. The entire delegation expressed the outrage that constituents are feeling over the intrusiveness of PlanMd. Secretary Hall did eventually admit that if local authority disagrees with his departments recommendations then the State will with hold permitting to complete projects or with hold money for school construction or roads projects. Yet, he calls this a free choice not to follow the State’s recommendations for how local property is developed or zoned. For a local report on the hearing see the link below.
